Roger Federer cruised past Carlos Berlocq in his second-round encounter with the Argentine at the Rome Masters on Wednesday. The third seed, making a bid for his first Rome title after losing in the 2003 and 2006 finals, beat Berloq 6-3 6-4 in comfortable fashion.
