Former world champion Ken Doherty edged past Anthony Hamilton 10-9 to book his place at the Crucible. In the final qualifying round for the Betfred.com World Championship, 1997 world champion Doherty avoided the fate of fellow Crucible favourites Steve Davis and Jimmy White, who both missed out this week.
