Norbert Michelsz took his first pole position in the World Touring Car Championship during a surprising session at the Slovakiaring. The BMW driver claimed top spot by less than a tenth of a second from Aleksei Dudukalo in the Lukoil Seat Leon, who finished just ahead of his team-mate Gabriele Tarquini.
