Mark Allen became the first major casualty of the Betfred.com World Championship when he lost 10-6 to Chinese qualifier Cao Yupeng in the opening round. The 26-year-old world No 11 from Northern Ireland had reached the semi-finals at the Crucible in 2009 and the last eight in the last two years.
