Canadian defenceman Marc Methot will sit out the quarter-finals after being suspended one game at the IIHF World Hockey Championship. He was ejected late in Tuesday's victory over Belarus after slamming Yevgeni Kovyrshin into the boards. The IIHF's disciplinary panel called the incident "reckless and dangerous" in announcing the one-game suspension.
