Shank Hall in Milwaukee looks like an old Elks Lodge or a VFW hall: low-clearance foam ceilings (the kind you flip a sharpened pencil up into), a stage that is maybe three feet off the ground, and carpeting. Swans' gear was Tetrised on the stage, towering behind Jamie Stewart while he performed his opening set.
