The Hyundai Elantra ranks toward the top of its class with its 40-mpg highway rating. However, one California owner is now suing Hyundai over the 40-mpg claim - he feels misled, as the Elantra achieves 40 mpg only on the highway and is rated at just 29 mpg in the city and 33 mpg combined.
