Cal Crutchlow said his pace in second practice at Assen was a great boost after he had been unnerved by discomfort from his ankle injury in the opening session. The Tech 3 Yamaha rider suffered a broken ankle at Silverstone a fortnight ago, but battled from last to sixth in MotoGP's British round.
