French distribution company StudioCanal, subsidiary of global conglomerate Canal Plus Group, has today announced its buyout of Australian and New Zealand company, Hoyts Distribution. The news comes following last year's merger between Hopscotch Films and Entertainment One, which saw the local indie distributor side with one of the global arena's heavy hitters.
